5 STARS – Stephanie P. (3 weeks ago) – Great customer service. Friendly owner. Quotes on vehicle work competitive. Doesn’t try selling you stuff you don’t need. Hard to get to the area and not a lot of parking but the service you get is the trade-off.
5 STARS – Bill Fisher (a week ago) – Great place to do business with. Been doing business their since 1990. Tracy the owner has been phenomenal. I highly recommend going there to get transmission work done.
5 STARS – D. Mirror (4 months ago) – This transmission shop has been around since before the internet was even a thing. They have always had a stellar reputation for good, honest hard work. The owner is a stand-up guy who always delivers what he promises and is very well regarded in the business.

5 STARS – Howie – Calgary – (2 months ago) – I took my 2003 Nissan Xterra here due to it leaking transmission fluid like crazy over the summer and into this fall and shifting roughly. We couldn’t identify how it was leaking (it was a complicated one) but dominion transmission did and I admit I was fearing an ugly bill for a rebuilt transmission but was left surprised when I was given a price significantly below my budget. No rebuilt transmission, a few fix-ups and my vehicles running like a beauty. This is a very honest shop, they’re kind and trustworthy! I will be recommending them to family and friends! 5 STARS – Lucas Sparrow (a year ago) – Very honest mechanic shop. I was originally quoted over $2000 at a different transmission place just to diagnose and have a look at my car. I took it to Dominion and they were quickly able to identify the problem. Unfortunately, it was an expensive fix, so I did not have the work done but I am very impressed by their honesty and integrity. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with transmission issues.

5 STARS – Keith Gwynne (2 years ago) – Tré and his crew were great to work with. We lost the transmission out of our 2008 Toyota Sienna in Golden BC. I hauled it back on a car hauler and dropped it off their doorstep unannounced. The transmission balked several times at being re-programmed once rebuilt, but they persisted until it was repaired properly. This included one programming attempt by a local Toyota dealer, that the shop insisted on paying for. They would not release it to me until it was repaired and tested to their satisfaction. It’s great to deal with an honest repair facility that stands behind their work and continuously strives to do the right thing for their customer!
5 STARS – Maria Savino-Woroniuk (2 years ago) – When my son’s car broke down, we took it to a popular auto repair shop. The estimate came to $2800…ouch. The car was not even worth that much! I’d heard about Tré’s shop and that he not only repaired transmissions, but that he also did other repairs. So we had the car towed there for an estimate. He and his workers found a way to repair the car so that my kid only had to pay a fraction of the cost of the first estimate. He’s a good and honest guy and I would highly recommend his shop.

Took it to dominion and they looked at it right away and help diagnose the issue. Great shop that provides great service will be going here from now on for any transmission service.

5 STARS – Brent Thorkelson (a year ago) – This is only the second time I have written a review online, but feel it is about time I do so for Dominion. I have been taking our vehicles to Dominion for over 15 years, from our first 1976 Chev 1 ton to our 2005 GMC 1 ton. Tré (the owner) and his team have always been honest and upfront, and on occasion has warrantied work when it was not their fault, and the warranty was over a year past its expiry. I recently took our 2005 1 ton into them for an antifreeze leak between the engine and transmission. Tré knew that this vehicle is a tow vehicle for our Hands Together for a Cure fundraising initiative for kids cancer research. Tré worked closely with us to give us the best deal possible and on top of this, he sponsored a child cancer survivor for a ride in the car! Dominion Transmission is one of the places in Calgary where you can leave your vehicle with them with confidence that it will be repaired right, on time and on budget. Customer service is clearly Job #1 where Tre and his crew have consistently put me first when I have needed vehicle maintenance and repairs. Tre went out of his way to stock Amsoil engine oil and filters. They have kept my 2010 truck safe for work in all conditions. Every time I go back I am impressed by seeing how they have also helped others who were in a bind.

Very happy with your service! Reasonable price! You pointed out what was needed and did the service i asked for without trying to sell me a bunch of other repairs that are probably needed but not urgent. Transmission works much better and what you did will certainly extend the life of my transmission.
You guys are great people to deal with as well so keep up the great work!
